BUHAY U.P. Art Exhibit is about the Homecoming Celebration of the UP School of Economics, Diliman; as well as the 10th year anniversary of the UP Charter. Distinguished guests the academe, UP alumni, government, arts and other socio-civic groups will be present in a gathering of friends over art, food and music.

To commemorate these milestones, luminaries of art such as Manix Abrera, Michael Cacnio, Aileen Lanuza, Vince de Pio, Toym Imao, Benjie Mallari, Jerry Morada, and Juanito Torres have rendered works around the theme of BUHAY U.P. -- as they refer to their own fond memories/ experience as a UP student. These works of art are intended to appeal and resonate with, primarily, the UP alumni who spent his/her formative years as an Iskolar ng Bayan. Master of neo-genre painting, Dominic Rubio, has made a special piece for the event featuring the most distinguished facade of U.P. Diliman, the Administration Building or the Quezon Hall, to be auctioned as part of this celebratory event.

BUHAY U.P. Art Exhibit aims to raise funds that will benefit the UP School of Economics Alumni Association and its chosen beneficiary for the School.

UPSEAA is the alumni association of the University of the Philippines School of Economics (UPSE) in Diliman, Quezon City, the country’s premier institution for economic education and policy research. UPSEAA boasts of distinguished alumni across Philippine society as economists, government officials, lawyers, professors, business leaders and professionals. They are in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the government. UPSEAA alumni have excelled in diverse fields including financial services, manufacturing, utilities, think tanks and other corporate entities.

UPSEAA is active in raising funds for alumni programs and the UPSEAA Scholarship Fund for undergraduate and graduate students.

BUHAY U.P. Art Exhibit will run from April 27 to May 5, 2018 at the Luxury Lane Event Area, East Wing of Shangri-La Mall, Mandaluyong City. Reception night will be on May 3, Thursday, at 6:30PM.
