Salutations

Every day, ordinary people make extraordinary contributions to the well-being of their children by answering one of life's greatest callings -- parenthood. They dedicate themselves to their sons and daughters, expressing a love that knows neither beginning nor end through small daily acts. On Father's Day, Galerie Joaquin honors the men whose compassion and commitment have nourished spirits and guided them toward brighter horizons.

For many, fathers show by example the kind of people they want their children to become. Whether biological, foster, or adoptive, they teach them through the encouragement they give, the questions they answer, the limits they set, and the strength they show in the face of difficulty and hardship. Fathers impart lessons and values that will be carried on through a lifetime.

The exhibition explores themes and subjects that reflect many fathers’ interests, inclinations, and inspirations. The special pieces for “Salutations”, encapsulating the inherent honesty and straightforward-ness of father-figures, serve as a reminder to the art public how moving and meaningful being a father can be.

“Salutations”, an online exhibit for Father’s Day, runs from June 14 – 21, 2021.
